Welcome to The Reef
Home to over 1,500 unique aquatic creaturesOnce upon a time, The Reef was a place of peace and calm, with beautifully tranquil waters of brightest blue, corals of every colour of the rainbow, and many different species, living together in relative harmony.
Irreversible changes
Unfortunately, the human world is not too far away from The Reef and if there’s one thing humans are good at, it’s pollution. A hundred years of chemicals in the water, waste-product dumping, and simple littering have changed The Reef and the Fish who live there into something very different!
Reef Explorers
Over time, the chemicals dumped into the sea have started to turn the Fish into a much more human-like bunch. Their intelligence has increased and they’ve started to make use of all the things the humans have dropped, wearing their clothes and accessories as status symbols. Before too long, society was very different on The Reef! However, the growing levels of pollution threatened to do more than just change The Reef, it threatened to wipe them out altogether. Bringing his findings before the Reef Council, Muraenos Moray showed the gathered leaders of The Reef how rising pollution would affect them. A think tank funded by wealthy Crypto expert Balaen Blue put together a team of experts to investigate and explore the reef to find out more.

The evil Doktor Von Skweel’s laboratory is discovered! Within this lab, lies a fusion chamber that possesses the ability to fuse multiple fish into one. When several fish from The Reef step foot into the chamber, they are given new traits that are unique from those in the genesis collection. This will not only give those who initially minted fish with less desirable traits a chance to add value to their fish, but it will also create a safety-net for the floor price, due to the continued reduction of fish in circulation. As well as the fact that existing holders are going to want to adopt more fish from the floor price, for the sake of utilizing the fusion chamber.
This is a luxury that can be purchased with The Reef’s utility token. (The name of our utility token will be disclosed at a later date so our idea cannot be stolen since it has not yet been created). This utility token will be redeemed for upgrades and other things. Since the name of our collection is «The Reef», we have decided it’s only right to find a way to help preserve and protect our planet’s coral reefs in real life. Pollution is a huge threat to marine life and continues to endanger coral reefs around the globe. Rather than make periodic donations to some charity, we’d prefer to aim towards a more hands-on approach that will allow our holders to see real change. This, as well as other aspects of the reef, are still under development. Our team is striving to reward The Reef’s NFT holders with immediate value. That means we aren’t rushing this project, so we can ensure you get the full Reef experience ASAP. We refuse to be like other projects that make you wait months after mint to share the spoils of utility. We vow to share honest updates as we progress towards mint.
The infrastructure of the reef will operate through a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). This technology has allowed us to bring equal governance and benefits to every single member of The Reef. That means all holders will vote to dictate the future of The Reef. One example of the way members of «ReefDAO» will benefit, is the ability to stake your fish in the DAO to earn our utility token. You can stake as many NFT’s as you want while accruing interest on the tokens you earn. The longer you stake, the more you make.
There are 10 one-of-a-kind fish completely unique from the rest of the collection. Half of these legendary fish will be airdropped (at random) to holders after mint sells out.

How To Mint A Fish?
To mint our project, head over to our minting site and connect your MetaMask wallet to our site! Once you connect your MetaMask wallet, deposit enough funds for mint+gas. When the minting process goes live, the countdown will complete and reveal a "mint" button! Click and enjoy your fish friends!
What is ReefDAO?
ReefDAO is a future feature that will gain you access to exclusive voting rights for future project initiatives and plans. These voting rights will be exclusive to only owners of the Reef collection. Holders will maintain voting rights as long as they are owners.
Why You Should Hold Your Fish?
We have designed a “self-sweeping” floor along with other programs to keep that floor price high. For example, if the price of fish begins to drop, people will be enticed to buy up that floor in order to FUSE fish at a cheaper price. As time goes on, there will be less NORMAL fish in circulation as a result of FUSION. Less of a supply -> higher prices on your fish! Combining this with ReefDAO, Reef Hangout, and a potential at 1 of 1s. That floor will stay sky high!
What is the Evil Scientist Lab?
The pollution of humans into the reef has driven Simon The Scientist mad. In an effort to counter the effects of pollution, The Scientist has created a fusion chamber to combine fish together. By combining these fish, new exclusive traits are developed.
Is My Fish Unique?
Yes! Each fish is guaranteed to be 100% unique. The sharks have swam through the Reef to make sure that there are no imposter duplicated fish. They guarantee that no two fish are duplicates.
Is There Rarity Amongst The Fish?
Yes! Rare attributes will randomly be distributed to different fish. You will be able to view rarity via a rarity checker tool that will be implemented. Keep an eye out for these rare attributes as they can also appear on FUSED fish
